Event Description:
In celebration of the City of Cheboygan’s 130th birthday, Cheboygan Area Public Library will be hosting a “History of Lumbering in Cheboygan” walk-through exhibit from August 20 through September 4 during Library hours. There will also be a reception on August 24 as part of the city-wide birthday festivities! The exhibit and reception are both free events and open to the community! Learn all about Timber Cruisers, Shanty-Boys, and Swampers. See example of tools used by lumberjacks including as cant hooks and real log-marked wood!
